Executive Director
Lennie Gail Mitcham is the Executive Director for The Southwest Virginia Alliance for Manufacturing, Inc. (SVAM). Since 2013, Lennie Gail has worked to fulfill the mission of SVAM by working with manufacturers to promote the sustainment and advancement of manufacturing in southwest Virginia. Along with working with manufacturers directly, Lennie Gail also engages in regional opportunities to improve the perception of manufacturing in southwest Virginia. Lennie Gail Mitcham is a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. Lennie Gail Mitcham has a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Virginia’s College at Wise and a Master’s of Arts Degree in Community and Organizational Leadership from Emory & Henry College.
Program Assistant
Mandy Barker, born and raised in Southwest Virginia, received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Art with a Concentration in Graphic Design from Virginia Intermont College. Mandy started her career in print design, creating yellow page ads for the phone book. Since then she has worked in both print and online design, as well as marketing. She brings a diverse background of skills and experience to her position at SVAM.
